Title just about says it all. Use my pc and theres no problem; leave it idle and it goes through the normal screensaver, power saving stuff then, almost dead on an hour, emits single high pitched siren and locks up. I've tested it three times and each time the same. Rig (Its FS-032-OK as supplied fully built and overclocked by OCUK) is plugged into a Dell 24inch widescreen and a BT voyager broadband thing using network connection not USB.

I posted about this issue before and a cursory investigation showed that the psu fans were not working. Easy win? no. RMA'ed it and though the psu fans now work I am still stuck with the same 'siren'ing issue.

System is currently back at OCUK for RMA (for the second time) but no news yet... and I am getting restlessly curious! Anyone able to shed any light?

If by 'siren' you mean a two tone noise from the speaker then I would think overheating. But as the system has been RMA'd it doesn't really matter as I'm sure a qualified engineer will suss the problem any way.

No its a single constant siren tone. I had the two tone 'coppers' siren on my old pc after some abortive attempts at overclocking; thats definately the cpu overheating. This o.ne has me beaten
