Hi, I think I may have encountered a bug with IE8 and In-Private browsing. If some one can confirm this behaviour?

Have a normal IE8 browser session open and be logged into some sites, ie like this one.

Launch a new In-Private browsing session and load up a few pages and have a little surf a round. Close the In-Private session and then go back and check to see if your still logged into your previous page.

Thats what happens when I do that :(

Great post.....dont tell anyone what the issue actually is!?!?

I'd have thought 70% of people are at work now and therefore doesnt have access to W7 to test it!!!

Yeh I described the problem, but didn't give a short sentence summary :P

You don't need W7 to use IE8.

Anyways I tried it again and all was working well. For some other reason, IE8 seems to loose all my cookie data after some time and all my preferences and logins all expire.

Yup, I get the same, have done since I upped to IE8 in Vista.

I can't quite describe what I do to lose all my login cookies, but its annoying as hell to occassionally open up a browser and be logged out of *everything*.

I can't find anyone else describing the problem (other than you) and cant see any fixes. So I have stopped using IE8 and use Chrome!

Not much help I know, but at least you know you arn't alone in it.
