IE Problem

Ok this seems a bit odd to me, my IE seems to be randomly hanging on certain web pages... At first I thought it was my flash plugin that was causing the problem so I uninstalled and reinstalled but still hangs... some pages it displays fine others it will part load and then just hang.. so far I have done the following:

* checked the webpages on another PC and they load fine
* uninstalled IE 7 and reinstalled
* uninstalled all plugins that I can
* checked its not a hardware problem, everything else works fine memory test showed no problems and my overclock is still stable
* tried to run a windows update but this is one of the sites its having problems with! sometimes will download sometimes it wont or it just sits there
*uninstalled and reinstalled network drivers and tried it through both network cards i have in the machine.. same problem even if i take 1 card out and just leave the other in or vis versa
* run full virus / spyware scan

This only started this evening nothing in the machine has changed, I havent installed any new programes or changed anything at all! I should add no other programes accessing the web have a problem... my msn is working fine, etc..

Anyone got any ideas?
 
As above try Firefox or Opera to ascertain if it is your computer or IE that is the problem.

Have you run HijackThis? And is there anything common to each website that won't load? Video file on there? If some work and some don't there must be something common to each one that doesn't for them not to work.
 
Thanks for the suggestions... after much swearing / threats and install / uninstall it all seems to be mysteriously working again?!
 
Indeed... the old you had better evolve quickly Miss computer or you are going to have significant problems in your first flying lesson out of the window
