Any way to view the time a web page was visited while using IE? (not sure on the version, probably 6 or 7)

If there is, anyway to get the web history and times into a document?

A friend shares his laptop with his house mates and the are still using 56k  They want to figure out who is using it when and how much each owe towards the bill. a couple of them aren't being totally honest.

that is what they are doing, however they still have this bill to split between them and they need to know who used the internet when so they can split it equally. Think they pay at set amount and then have to pay for any extra bandwidth usage!

they are using a 56k package that they pay a set small amount for and then have to pay extra if they use more bandwidth than their allowance. They are looking into getting broadband with aquiss for the next month.

However they still have a rather large bill to split between them which is the reason for me posting.

Jeez such a big deal over nothing. Just split the bill down the middle. Does it really matter if one person pays a quid or two more than he used?

Was just about to reply with something similar to the above.

Split the current bill down the middle and pay it off, then get proper broadband with a good amount of bandwidth & a good speed and split that down the middle every month.

Without sounding snotty or rude, neither of you are posting anything I haven't suggested myself. However it isn't just a quid or two, they seem to pay a £1 a GB for anything over their allowance. It's a pretty hefty bill and would you want to spend and extra £20-30 for something you haven't used?

Now, does anyone actually know if this is possible to do or not?

Theres nothing post bill they could do to show who was on it least, its pretty easy to delete logs etc... So unless ther was some software on the PC (which still sint foolproof) there isn't anyway, tell them to lump it, split the bill argue some more like women, and then just spend about £7 each a month on broadband and STFU. Bloody hell, sharing a flat and they cant sort the internet out!?...

Downloading a gigabyte at 56 Kb/s would take 41.6 hours (or 1.73 days), assuming perfect conditions. So the maximum they could do in a 30-day month would be 17.34 GB.

It's technically impossible to have a charge for £20 excess since they can't even download this much in a month.

Which is why I've been suggested all along that they just split this bill and then get a proper broadband package as I knew it can't be that much :)

Erm surely it would only take about 5 and half hours?

//Edit: Yeah you can download 143.041992Gb a month on a 56K line if it was solid for 24/7 the whole month....

Don't know how you managed that caged :p

5.6KB/s for 50 hours in perfect conditions would get you 984.38MB wouldn't it?

That's near enough a GB :p

(5.6*180 000)

Well, I don't know if 56Kbps actually goes at 5.6KB/s, but ah well :p
