IE7 always crashes when i pull down the address bar!

For the past few months IE7 in vista 64 has stopped responding and crashed as soon as i click on the little down arrow to the right of the address bar (the one that lets you quickly browse through urls you've recently typed into the address bar).

I've put up with it for ages because i'm a firefox user 99% of the time, but i have to confess that it's actually really bugging me.

Any thoughts?

Stick with Firefox for an extra 1%!

Are you using any extensions with IE7 such as IE7Pro.

ok, just realised that the 64bit version of ie7 works fine so i'll just stick to that. Still a bit annoying though as i hate to have even tiny problems on my system.

No extensions or anything.

You'll run into problems with the 64bit version. Flash, shockwave, etc don't work (or didn't a few months ago). No idea what the problem is with the address history, maybe a reinstall of IE.

Try IE without add ons. The shortcut is in accessories/system tools

Just had a look around and it looks like you can't :rolleyes:

Have you tried resetting all the options/addons from the advanced menu in internet options?

Empty the temporary internet files and cookies and so on too, and do a System File Checker scan.
