I managed to change the layout of the interface back to the IE 6 style layout (well close enough) with the help of a replacement navigation toolbar called Quero (http://www.quero.at) :-

That's horribly ugly. I don't see the problem with the IE7 interface, I'd certainly much rather have it than the mess you've made.

Excuse me?

1. All that has changed is the Address bar (using its default theme), it is easy enough to make another one (which I plan on doing). Hardly a mess is it?

2. The problem with the UI is that it is not consistent with just about every other Windows application that Microsoft has ever produced (and about 99% of all other Windows programs). I will take usability over looks every single time.

3. Do you address people face to face like that? Your attitude stinks.

One thing I've noticed is after installation ctfmon.exe is back and running again.

So just removed it again.

Link for others if they wish to do the same, Remove CTFMON

What's the big deal with this? I've noticed it a few times before..

On a side note, after installing IE7 my 'Start' bar freezes every now and then when I try and open the start menu... strange

IE7 Final installed and running well, I must say I do like it!

But one thing I have found is that on occassions I get logged out of different forums, or when a username and passwprd is required, the cookie options are set correctly, any suggestions on how to rectify this small issue? :)

WAHAY

Upgraded (if thats what you wanna call it) :p from beta 2 and running fine, I thought the clicking a link and opening in an external window as opposed to a new tab was fixed? *grunt*

Apart from that, id say it is a jolly good browser.

Bottoms up!

That was one of the annoying things I experienced :(

Office 2007 is totally different as well, the UI in that is a mess :)

Word, Excel and another program has got the new ribbons replacing the toolbar, Publisher, Outlook 2007 still use toolbars, not very consistant, new users are gonna be a bit confused I think

Microsoft will release the final build of IE7 today to customers, with the company expected to push the build by automatic updates on 1st November.

At the moment there is no link on Microsoft.com, but Yahoo has the final build bundled with Yahoo Mail. All you need to do is download the Yahoo edition and use WinRAR to extract the files and run IE7-Setup.exe

DOWNLOAD

:D

it's all been stable for me so far. slower render times than FF2.0 though.

Well as in, full of ads for yahoo :p

Cheers for the link Burnsy and MRK.

That's because you didn't extract the plain IE7 from the Yahoo package. Sillyyyyyy

I wondered where that had appeared from!

I have ie 7 installed but i use firefox how do i stop IE7 giving me pop ups whilst im using firefox what on earth is going on there it's crazy.
I'll just be browsing away on here or somewhere and IE7 suddenly fires up with some random add.

Ok but how do you uninstall it on xp that guide says unisntall windows xp office product what if you dont have one?
easier way is turn off advanced text services under regional settings on a side note i hate ie7 how do u remove it if ie6 wasn't there before i get ie pop ups when im using firefox its ridiculous
