Any Avast users get this virus/malware warning when you visit the MS IE7 page?

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/default.mspx

false positive I take it?

Interesting about the exploit, I tested it on Vista RC2's IE7 (5744) and it is not vunerable, tested it on my Server 2003 IE7 (5730) and it is vunerable. So Microsoft must have known about this exploit before they even released it :o

At least the copy of IE7 I am using doesn't have it :p

If you type the name of the worm in google you will see that this has been going on for ages with the Microsoft site. People are gettin it when they do some things with the WGA. OOO interestingggg

I just installed ie7 and it freezes at the welcome page. I cant choose a search engine or any other options on that page. All other sites seem fine though.
Yeah same. Anyone have a fix?

Not saw anything yet for a freeze but you could try a full uninstall and install.

/passive - Run the installation without any input from the user.
/quiet - Identical to /passive, but do not show any user interface.
/update-no - Do not look for Internet Explorer updates.
/no-default - Do not make Internet Explorer the default browser.
/nobackup - Do not backup the files that would later be required to uninstall Internet Explorer.
/norestart - Do not restart when install is complete.
/forcerestart - Restart after installation.
/log:<path> - Create a log file at <path>.

Hope this helps....

The package must be a .msi for AD to distribute, any other ideas?

Mines is the same but i can use IE7 ok.

The runonce line keeps coming up when i hit IE icon, but if you hit home button it redirects to youe homepage setting.

Well i'm glad i ain't the only one :D , I mentiond this on page two, I think when you first run IE7 after it is installed it goes to a microsoft webpage that says welcome to IE7 etc but only does this once, it looks like it's trying to access that page but somethings gone wrong, maybie it got hammerd with all the people upgrading to IE7 , it certainly is annoying.

I might be able to make you an installer. I'll get back to you.

Mine works now :) I get redirected to an MS settings page

I would also like to know where history is (for no particular reason) :p

Also, I have a CRT monitor and the clear text thing just made it more blurred.

Anyone else have crashing issues with this?

Been seing that when I try to access Windows Updates on the web this thing doesn't always like it and lags / stops responding then comes back

Also can't always cope when theres things like a Windows Defender scan going on, the thing just crashes out and you have to wait around 20 - 30 seconds for it to remember what its supposed to be doing
