More secure than Firefox with NoScript?
I use IE7 and I don't feel like I'm being oppressed on here. IE6 was another matter though...
IE7 on Vista is the most secure browser so that alone is a good enough reason to use it I suppose. Also the most "compatible" I find.
No matter what i do to the security settings I am unable to turn on internet protection, usuing vista x64 ?.
But i still use IE7
i really couldn't give a monkeys about browser security. it's right down the bottom of my list of priorties (i used ie6 for years without any issues so i'm sure any modern browser is safe for me).
at the top of the list we have functionality. and firefox just cannot be beat on that front.![]()

Seriously though the benefits of Firefox are far far greater than the stock usage of IE or even Opera, I mean look at this as an example of a forum I frequent and how FF is able to change the layout for max usability:
