IE7 text sharpness

I'm sure this will be a stupid question but I have been using IE7 for a few days now. I'm used to the format and layout now. One thing bugging me is the text. None of it seems as sharp to me anymore.

Infact i'm finding it more difficult to read. I only ever used the default settings for IE6.

Font settings dont seem to alter it either.

Any tips?

Cleartype?

1. Open IE7
2. Open Tool Menu
3. Click Internet Options
4. Click Advanced Tabs
5. Under Multimedia, clear the Use ClearType checkbox
6. Click OK X 2

Or turn cleartype off if your using a CRT

Hmmm thanks guys didnt make any difference. I'm using a TFT btw. The text just seems slightly thicker and darker than before but not as sharp. Guess I will have to get used to it or roll back.

Edit Noob didnt hit apply then ok
