I just installed IE8 and I can't get onto any websites because it keeps crashing and showing this message;

The only addon(s) that I can see are to do with Kaspersky which I have disabled (IE8 doesn't seem to give me the option to remove/delete the Kaspersky addon).

Any idea why it is doing this?

change your IE security settings.

I just turned off "Protected mode" in the security settings and it works fine now. It's saying that my computer is at risk without it, etc.
What does "protected mode" actually do and should I keep it on?

I'd rather find out which addon is causing the problem but this is atleast a temporary fix.

It is definitely an addon causing it because when I open IE8 in "No-Addons" mode it works fine, the strange thing is that I have tried disabling all addons and it still causes it to crash.

EDIT: I just turned "Protected mode" back on and it's working fine now! I think it was something to do with the protected mode and obviously disabling it and then enabling it has fixed the problem.
Thanks for your help.
