IE8 Table layout help required

Hi guys,

I run our cricket club website at www.mountsorrelcastle.com and in previous versions of IE my front screen table layout has worked fine. Now with IE8 the cell sizes are all up the creek and it looks crap.

I realize I am a bit old fashioned in my use of code and that some of it looks rough in Firefox as well, but previously IE7 looked fine and everybody was happy.

Interestingly, it seems the pages that are generated by ASP scripts seem to be okay, but the front screen uses a mix of html and ASP subroutines to show the data.

Hitting the' compatability view' button in IE fixes the problems, but thats hardly a solution for visitors...

Can anybody suggest any simple fixes please?

Cheers. That looks as if it sorts the issue in IE, which will be 95% of our visitors, being non-techy types.
