IEXPLORE cannot delete from task manager

an IEXPLORE automatically appears in task manager as soon as i login, if i delete it is comes back a few seconds later, if i boot without my dongle plugged in, its still there, its only in the processes and not in the applications, is there anything i can do to get rid of it

have a look in msconfig and see if you can stop it from starting when the PC starts, or you might have some form of malicious code being excecuted under the guise of IE.

(ignoring the fact that IE is a malicious program anyway...

)

have you run spybot? Sounds a bit like spyware.

Maybe run hijackthis and see if it pops up on one of those

HJT is a good bet, could be an 04 entry running from the registry that needs asorting. Plus you get to see if anything else is needs attention !
