If a graphics card has more than one output, will it definitely do dual-screen?

My mother's ATI HD3650 is on its way out, whirring and screeching erratically the whole time, so she needs a new card. No gaming required, just video output (hopefully near-HD but not fussed) and definitely needs dual-screen.

Been looking at this:
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-243-SP&groupid=701&catid=56&subcat=938 and others similar, as fanless would be great for her, but I can't tell whether or not it will definitely do dual-screen.

Much thanks!

yes mate it will do dual screen it has been standard feature for years on most gfx cards

only thing to look out for is one is a vga conection so if you want two digital signals to two monitors you may need a hdmi dvi lead

btw have you thought about a replacement cooler for your old gfx card may be cheaper

or even cleaning and the old fan a little bit of oil may help
