If a port is open on a computer. What could happen?

Hi guys. I have a fair few ports open for various programs.

Say port 9070 is open. Could the greatest hacker take over your computer from an open port?

By depends, tolien means only if what is listening on 9070 has a known vulnerability that can be exploited remotely.

The greatest hacker could do whatever he wanted even if your ports were closed. You should refrase your question.

Comes back to the term "Greatest." If "she" was the greatest..."she" should do it without us knowing :eek:

Anyways, you don't have to be a hacker to get a hold of bank account details of thousands of people nowadays. They are usually left on trains, left in garbage bins or you can buy an old computer off the bay with the details on. (All fact...lol)
