Yeah, $44m for Twitter would be pocket change. There are several cars that cost that. Not the same thing as a multi-national immensely powerful and influential social network.

I would change Speaker's Corner to the Misery Section.

I tried ages ago in the Speakers Corner, all you get is people who think they stand on top of the mountain of intelligence with their mostly stupid ingrained fixed opinions and thoughts.
Politcs has become like a sports game.
Most don't see that ideas can be taken from all sides, it would prevent mostly fixed ideas which have the least impact and lasting effect in a more grounded way, but then that is also able to become negative too.
I don't think most of them understand how meaningless politics are to the every day grind, they have reaching concequences but many are massively out of touch with the real world.
The internet can do that though.
I would rather Feek control us since well, even I can see my own shortcomings, I am not known to be the most fair in battle with people and I too do become fixed with my own mental state, this is how I began to recognize it everywhere else.
Intelligence to many is *How long can I out stubborn you*.
So not intelligent at all.

Humility comes from humiliation, only on the internet people cannot see the humiliation someone goes through, only on the internet people are semi anonymous enough to not give a crap about how they appear to others.
Humiliation instills learning but also wisdom only if it is backed up by some self observation, what went wrong? Why are my thoughts out of line with the rest?
The majority is not always right either, hense bubbles, the internet is a series of massive echo chambers and it is frighteningly bad., The only place for any type of freedom of thought is places we would never want to go, either 4Chan or some place on the Deep web.
After that, not use the internet anymore for discussion of an intellectual kind at all.
Smile at the times you get to unleash some of your thoughts with someone in person, those moments will be rare.
