wouldn't it be easier to wait until we actually detect one and then look into why we were able to. Simply guessing with no way of knowing if you are correct is indeed silly.

Well pretending they do exist, everything that exists could potentially be explained by science and if they exist they would be made up of something that is interacting on some level with our universe, like the electromagnetic spectrum if we can see them, so all it would take is for whatever brain like structure they have to sense the vibration from the light passing through them, i would imaging they have a sphere of vision as well.

The very act of being vibrated is the experience of light they perceive.

You're thinking the energy has to be used up yet if the stuff they're made of moves with the vibration theres no energy used, yet the information from that can still be experienced.
