if i sell my 7990, what should i replace it with?

keep the 7990 and Mine a Crypto Currency (Dogecoin or Worldcoin (similar to lite coin)) and with the money made buy new GPUS :)

What resolution? I toyed with this idea but after fees I would have been out of pocket if I wanted the same performance as the 7990.

By the way using Crysis 3 as an example is terrible, a 7990 pulls much further ahead in other games.

Well it's 2 x 7970's on 1 PCB but it's not hugely better, 7990 gets maybe 6 fps more in crysis 3 over a 780 which is a single GPU card.

7990 is ~40% faster on BF4 at 2560x1440.
Though honestly I'd probably prefer a 780Ti - I'd just overclock the nuts off it :p

Hmm so many options, I don't want to put money towards some new GPU's, i want to use what ever I get for the 7990

Not sure if serious or trolling?! :p

6FPS doesn't equal much faster, 780 gets my vote.

At what point does fps matter then? 1-2 is marginal but 6 is a difference considering benchmarks where one card is 30fps and another is 24fps - not sure if serious or trolling. :p

:rolleyes:Keep the 7990 imo

That 6fps doesn't mean anything but are you serious or trolling weewyum? ;)

Oh and that's a Ti not a bog standard 780 (which is 23fps) and he sold his 780.

Im not trolling, he said he wants the same performance as a 7990 from the money gained from selling it. I'm trying to show that getting the same performance will cost more than he receives as I was in the exact same position last week.

I've not used the bay in a while so not sure on the fees. Last week 7990s were going for the £600 mark, with second hand 780s on the MM going for £300 and below. I mean, he wouldn't need to put much more in the kitty to get a lot more performance.

Unfortunately for Beasty, he's left it a little too late as the prices seem to be coming down for second hand 7*** cards.

Yea indeed, I saw a 7990 go for £680 last week and I immediately tried to jump on it but think the craze is dying down a bit. They take 10% of the cut now so say £540 after selling, suppose it isn't too much to add. I did get my 7990 for £380 though, so its harder for me to justify.

If you are going to sell it Beasty, do it quick. People are still jumping on these but with the bitcoin market like it is, I can't see these prices lasting for much longer. I would be tempted by a pair of 780's personally from the MM, as looking at 290's, they are a bit on the pricey side for custom cards.

Something is not right there.

This.

That looks more like it.

I shall see if I can pick up a pair of 780's then, if no luck I will just keep the 7990 and buy some new GPU's late next year

its a tough decision, especially with out going into the 1k area!

ill see how it goes, may i ask how much you shifted yours for?
