if money was no object....

Lotus Carlton for the family trips, Honda NSX-R for the weekend and a Peugeot 205 T16 Evo 2 for the daily drive to work. I would also get myself a car house to put them in.

Exotica doesn't really interest me in slightest but I guess if I had to pick one it would either be a 959, Ferarri 288 GTO or a F40.

So having won 10m, you buy a Vauxhall well past its sell by date, a Jap thing, and a prehistoric French jobber :D

I'd buy a red Fiesta RS Turbo because I've always really fancied one.

Exotica would come later - '73 911 Carrera RS, Ferrari 250 TR, etc etc.

Daily Hack - Honda Civic Type R (FD2)

Track - Caterham R500 SV:

And just for the hell of it - Ford Sierra Cosworth RS500

And probably some other stuff too!

First... I'd move to a massive house with land to build my own dream garage!.

Then I'd fill it with

R500 Caterham
Jag XJ220
Mclaren mp4-12c
Pagani zonda cinque
GTR
370z (modded for drift)
Radical SR8

and I think that is about it, yes it is a massive garage! lol

1955 Mercedes 300SLR "Uhlenhaut" Coupe.
It's a hard top version of Stirling Moss' 1955 Mile Miligia winning 300SLR which in itself was a two seat W196 F1 car. So in essence this is a road going grand prix car.

Unfortunately there are only 2 in existence, both owned by Mercedes. The chance of them coming up for sale is less than the chance of me having the £50 million they're estimated to be worth...

That's why I settled with the 300SL. :p

First car would probably be an RS6.
Then I'd start looking at the exotics which would include a Land Rover 101 FC, Caterham SV and a Bowler Wildcat.

I don't tend to like the £100k+ cars as going 200mph doesn't appeal greatly.

First car would be a 911, probably GT3 MK2 RS. Then once the house and garage block were sorted I would let the fun begin; Carrera GT, 458...

However, I've always wondered how the practicalities of having a a large super car collection work out?

Take for instance JK, who according to a recent Sunday magazine article has approximately 40 cars, ranging from one of those tiny Fiat's to his Enzo. I assume he must have a 'special' insurance policy that means they are all insured and he doesn't have to make a phone call each time he buys or sells one? Regardless, it can't be cheap to insure probably £2-3m+ worth of cars! £10k, £25k, £50k? Any insurance guys in here?

The best one of these I could find:

Or even an Eleanor.

Then I'd have a nice little think about what to get after but the Mustang is a sure fire thing.

Yes a 20 year old Vauxhall with a 377bhp 3.6 litre flat six twin turbo charged engine.

Have you actually driven one? They had quite possibly the worst gear change and heaviest clutch going and a not too great interior.

I will admit they did look good outside though.

I'd have:

Jaguar XFR or BMW F10 M5 as a daily driver.

My Fiesta ST converted into a 4wd Cosworth powered JWRC spec track car (it would be awesome and I like the idea of keeping what I have already bought and earned myself, and just making it much better and just a bit silly :D).

Porsche 911 GT3 RS or some other exotica....
