Hi,

I understand there may be some way to retrieve old internet content despite the live content being changed or deleted? Could someone explain how please?

Oh no, you might be able to. Its just that the people who will give you a serious answer aren't available right now. :p

(also I have no idea)

best thing is to not use facebook or any other social media website that is state monitored

You're wasted here.

How long a time are we talking?

I'm not sure, someone else was asking me as they have bought a turd of a car and the seller has deleted the advert, blocked the buyer and tried to hide anything that would give the buyer and come back.

Well their first mistake was buying a car on Facebook but I'm sure you know that already.

I'm not 100% sure how Facebook ads work but the main issue is how long ago it was and how large they have their cache set to/how much they surf the net.

It may have been overwritten already.

I imagine Facebook would still have records of it so best bet would be to get in contact with them(if even possible).

Yep it was a cars for sale group. I pointed out that there is obvious risk involved in buying that way and if they really wanted peace if mind they should have gone to a reputable dealer with a warranty, but hey ho. They are looking to pursue them about it but no doubt anything will come of it. Probably sold as seen, suck it up.

Well good luck with that then.

I take it they have tried the longest of outside shots of looking in the history and clicking the ad in there.
