Gareth Bale would be great backup, especially now Bridge has retired internationally, he was class against us last time :-(

Darren Fletcher impressed me early this season, but the last few United games I watched he's looked a bit workmanlike.

Who does John O'shea play international football for?

Heres a clue, he isnt british, neither is stephen Ireland.

Depends on exactly what rules you would implement but Stephen Ireland was eligible to play for England as well as Ireland.

John O Shea is Irish so imho he is still British - as this whole thread is a fanciful idea anyway what does it matter?

Stop giving me ammunition to use to show you up and I'll stop doing it.

The question is what BRITISH players would be in the side, not who in your world you would have as british in you side.

If you called O'shea or Ireland "British" they would probably stove your face in and spit on what was left as its incredibly offensive to a lot of Irish.

I think Bellamy could be worth a shout down the left. J Cole isn't doing anything these days. Young might be worth a shout but he doesn't do it on big occasions for me.
