If you bought an AUC from a main dealer with 1 year MOT + Service, when would you expect them to be required?

Makes sense when dumb people like me start the engine of an S5 and decide I want it RIGHT NOW :p
Literally the badge fell off of my Merc when I went to visit it and the salesmen and I worked as a team to convince me it was still OK and that wasn't a bad sign.

Lol. The inner child comes out when driving a car, and they can SENSE IT
I remember by bargaining went something like:

Can you do a free extra service? - No
Can you do any further discount? - No
Can you do a free ceramic coat? - No
Will you give me an extra year warranty? - No

PERFECT I'LL TAKE IT :D

Idiot? Yes.

But I do have a a V6 Petrol :p

for my S5
There's your main issue right there...... Audi.

Have always found the staff and general attitude in the dealers to be a mix of non-existent, cocky, judgey or just rude.

These issues are nothing really, be thankful that's the only wee thing.

On the other hand, I love BMW, but dealership experiences have also varied and every car we bought from them had issues during the process, be it the vehicle or the staff.

Yup, both have been pants for me :(

BMW gave us an MOT voucher when we bought a car in December and the MOT expired the next September.

Lexus customer service is the best though and aftersales have been amazing in my experience so far with replacing a wheel arch cover under warranty and just general manner.

Reminds me of a lad I knew at uni who bought an old scirocco. Went on a test drive and it broke down twice, it also came with about 3 boxes of spares and parts. Most people would have run a mile, but nope he had to buy it.

And that reminds me of one of my mates who was desperate to get a BMW X5 a few years back. He found a 4.6 litre V8 that was exactly what he wanted so he went to look at it - it was at a car dealer but the guy said some crap about it being sold for a friend on the side so it came with no warranty. That would be the point I would've walked away, sharpish, but my mate didn't. To make it even worse, the guy had to top the car up with coolant before my mate could go for a test drive. Instead of doing a runner my mate actually bought it.

Needless to say it didn't end well. I can't remember what the problem was but my mate took it to BMW who charged him 3.5k for diagnostics but they basically told him it needed a new engine so he had to sell it as knackered on Ebay. Moron.

just as an example i pick up an approved used Seat on Saturday.

Just had a new MOT, Major Service, 2 years Warranty and MOT cover, 2 years roadside assistance included in the deal.

However, i think it all depends on the timing of the car sale in respect to servicing and MOT, they are not going to reservice a car that doesnt need it.
