If you could choose any film to re-watch in a cinema...

thankfully I am old enough to have seen many of these in the cinema!!

so I am going to have to pick an older epic

something like Lawrence of Arabia or the good the bad and the ugly or Ben hur (if my backside would stay awake, but thats what intermissions were for!!)

My 'go to' movie has always been Jaws as long as I can remember.

I wasnt even around when it was released at the cinema so I first saw it as a child on a VHS tape that my dad rented out from the local video shop. I must have seen this movie well over a hundred times in various formats and own most of the formats of the film as well.

Never seen it on the big screen though........

Yep me too, a lot of my friends have never seen it for years and when i bring it up as one of my favourite films people are often surprised. I always say that when your a kid the film is about a killer shark and when you get older the films is more about a man out of his depth in a situation which really tests his character.

Agreed, the magic of the film for me is Brody and his relationship with what is happening and of course his interaction with both Quint and Hooper.

I have to admit it would have to be the original cinema release of Star Wars (but with today's audio - yes I know Im cheating hahaha) - just for the first 5 minutes with the Star Destroyer chasing down the blockade runner

Follow that with Top Gun and The Abyss (both of which I was just too young to see at the cinema)

As soon as I saw the title, Terminator 2 came to my mind. I was too young to watch it in the cinema when it was released, and remember hearing from people how amazing it was. I saw it on VHS as soon as it was released, and since then I've seen it too many times.

Another +1 for T2. I was 13 in 1991 so was too young like you. I did try to see it but the box office caught me out so never got to see it. So I switched screens and saw Robin Hood Prince of Thieves instead which I still enjoyed. Then in early 1992, still 13, my parents let me rent T2 on VHS.

I love animations too. Loved the new live action Beauty and the Beast which I've seen twice on the big screen now. Therefore I quite fancy seeing the original 1991 Beauty and the Beast again just for kicks :) Again I was 13 when that came out in late 1991.

This is why the Prince Charles Cinema is so good and why I have nothing else to add to this thread - all the ones I wanted to see have been shown. Glory's on tomorrow.

Star Wars Original Trilogy is the hands down winner for me!

Got to see ROTJ Special Edition when it was re-released and it made me realise how much I missed by not seeing them on their original release (too young) but I don't want to see the ruined Special Editions ever again!

I loved watching the Matrix at the Odean . Mid afternoon with no one in the auditorium except me and my popcorn. Heaven.
Would happily repeat that.

Not really a re-watch as it was made a few years before I was born, but I'd love to see The Good, the Bad and the Ugly on a really big screen.

It's had a couple of mentions already, but it is a film I can watch over and over again.

Not rewatch but I'd love to see The flight of dragons animated film with the green wizard, gorbash and omadon (sp) etc in it. On the big screen with full surround sound. Would be epic that.

Mate, that film scared the urine out of me as a kid. Watched it since and it's matured into an absolute gem! Really need to get myself a DVD copy.

Anyway, I think the answer has to be 'Bladerunner' or 'Brazil' for me :)

Huge bump to this thread but I was just in the car and Don't Stop Believin' by Journey was on the wireless.

I would love to see the very last episode of The Sopranos at the pictures on a huge screen.

Wireless? My Nan and grandad were the last people I heard using that term lol.

I agree with your choice though. I’d just like to know for definite what the bloody hell happened!
