If you could erase the memory of a game to play it again..

I liked the bit where you left the ship for the first time and saw the beautiful sun filtering through the hazy clouds and that waterfall.. Oh lordy!

Totally. Replayed that bit many many times.

I'd pick System Shock 2, most the Bioware games (Well BG1&2, KOTOR) and Planescape Torment.

I'd also pick Everquest, as it was before the Luclen expansion. I remember playing this for the first time, the first 20 levels taking a long time and world seeming so big and new. Brings me goosebumps remembering.

Good call re Everquest. The first 2-3 months playing that game was ace! Naked runs to Rivervale ***!

No question, LoZ:TOoT. I loved that game. It took me nearly a month playing several hours a day to beat it. Then all the glitches and cool exploits that came out later added even more replay value.

Monkey Island 1-3
Leisure Suit Larry series
Space Quest series
Gunstar Heroes
Phantasy Star 4
Carmageddon
Death Rally
Duke Nukem 3D

Definately! I can complete it without even thinking about what I'm doing or paying attention to the storyline.
I'd also have to say FFVII. I've only completed disc one, but it would still be nice to do it all again for the first time.

Only disc one??? It gets better after that, much better.

Max Payne 1 & 2
Half life 1 and 2

Talking about max payne just bought them both for ps2 completed 1 think for the 3rd time since its release and on way to completing 2 :)

Well, I actually stopped playing because someone told me what happened at the end of disc 1, and I didn't want that to happen. My boyfriend finally loaded the game and finished the disc for me, but by that time I'd forgotten what had been going on so I gave up. I don't like picking up games half way through, and it's such a time sink that I don't want to start again yet ;).

Fate of Atlantis is the one that sprang to mind, but equally any of the old school point and clickers. Even Simon the Sorceror (Without the Chris Barrie voiceover though  )

Freespace 2 (How big is that thing  )
X-Wing (Every 8 year olds fantasy was to fly an X-wing and suddenly you could. Amazing.)
I'd love to be able to play UFO-Enemy Unknown for the first time again too. Everyone remembers the first time they encountered a snakeman. Or learned how to use the mind probe properly.
