If you could go back in time ?

=) go back about 10 years and put a bet on that there will be a black president in 2008... Get to britney spears before she gets crazy and be her affair.

EDIT: maybe when she is crazy infact. all down and helpless, i would be the shoulder to cry on. i dont mind the baldness?? it goes away...

I'd take my PC back to around 1995 when PC's really took off so they could reverse engineer it and make billions. >.>

After picking up my copy of Grays Sports Almanac: Complete Sports Statistics 1950-2000, I'd head off to the 12th of November 1955, where I'd party like it was 1955 at the Under the Sea dance.

I'd go back to a point where I was old enough to know what was going on around me and be my own mentor in learning.
Basically I'd teach myself everything I know now and be the parent my parent (singular) should have been...

There are some decisions i've made in the past that at the time seemed the natural thing to do, but as time played out had effects far beyond what was initially apparent.

One of these i would go back and change, making the world a fractionally better place.

I'd go back to 1986 and try and stop Chernobyl reactors from exploding. Obviously I'd have to brush up on my russian and may be get fake scientist clothing otherwise they wouldn't listen to me

I've already been back in time. Or as close as anyone can get to it. By standing in the middle of pristine rainsforest, which has been untouched for the better part of 2.5 million years.

Before making any decisions, how are we treating this? If you go back in your machine to a certain time, are you going to sort something out then return to the present - or will you then be stuck there and "live on" from that point?

Apologies for pedantry, but this would strongly influence choices. :)

Well now that all depends. If you are going back in time to tell yourself to do something/not to do something, or to prevent something happening to you, would the future you just cease to be once you had done what you needed to do as the timeline that created the future you would no longer exist?

I would take my current PC technoligy back to the 1940's and lend it to Bletchly park. Reverse engineer it and make loads of money. Dont let the Government classify it so the Americans can exploit it later.

So only one (medley) truly altruistic answer then ....... figures.

Now then, Mr Titor, explain to me again what will happen .....
