Fallout I guess - still a lot of people around / crazy weapons and lots of exploring to do. As long as I am the same level as I was in game and nothing could kill me that would be fine!

Either Pokemon or World of Warcraft

A few ones I considered:

Final Fantasy would be good if it wasn't for all the political instability
Star Wars would be interesting but too much slavery/poverty (what if I got the wrong end of the stick?)
