If you could only have 1 game installed on your PC?

Ack, impossible question...

Maybe Neverwinter Nights (original), for the multiplayer... damn thing kept me glued to the PC for months... I went cold turkey a few years back would be almost afraid to play it again.
 
As I can't get away with Steam. Also games like HL, Baldur's Gate Series, SW:KOTOR - would all come close. But I think it would be WoW. Call me sad but it'd take a long time to get completely bored.
 
If you'd have come with the question a few years ago, no other answer than team fortress classic.

Same thing over and over again, addictive as hell though:)

Now and a close 2nd anyway, champ/football manager.
 
Any game that is moddable and online is probably the real answer, so that is bf2 and the hl2 engine to me.
Both can be modded and have voip and 64 players, I dont know of any other engine that can say that.

CS, etc are good but I prefer the vehicle and wider spaces of bf2 and its mods.

Disappointing in a way but they wont be usurped by any future game afaik
