If you could play any instrument, and only one song on it...

This thread could easily die on it's ass, but what would you play?

I'm sitting here watching the Pink Panther (original) on Film4 and that Saxophone tune is the daddy. I'd take that for the sax.

Guitar I'd take... Crushing Day by Satriani: 7 minutes of self-indulged soloing leaving no room for singing or any show-off rhythm/bass players. That stage would be all mine for that song.

Piano - something by Chopin.

Recorder - hmm, tricky. I think this would have to be a surprise one - something massively complicated and fast. Flight of the Bumblebee? That would work.

Drums - I always liked the little drum solo in The End by the Beatles. Probably not technically very challenging, but I love it - suits the song perfectly.

Bass - Gotta be something funky... like Funky Monks by the Chilis. ;)

Choose whatever instrument you want, if you can be bothered. :p

The piano (I already play it, but it's easily the greatest instrument of all)

Beethoven Sonata in F minor op. 57 (Appassionata)

I can already make a stab at it but it's going to be many years' work to complete it.

piano - Beethovens 5th piano concerto (all 3 movements)

or Rachmaninov 2nd Piano Concerto

if i had the real talent to play either of these i would honestly be able to die a happy man :)

Guitar (classical) - Koyunbaba by Carlo Domeniconi (started learning this but never had the patience :p )

Piano - Chopin's Nocturne in Eb Maj (same as above!)

Bass - Anything by Victor Wooten!

Drums - I'd like to be able to play along convincingly to at least one Dream Theater song :D

Either a face-melter from Iron Maiden on an electric guitar, a dazzling Pink Floyd solo or any one of Chopins Nocturnes (Steinway concert grand :D).

If forced to choose then probably the Chopin. Musical genius at its highest, encompassing all nuances of composition, musically challenging, stimulating and an endless source of stimulation...

I saw Beethoven's apassionata (Fmin) up there- nice choice :)

I play most instruments to a 'get away with it' level and I've earned a decent living from it but I've always wanted to sit down and launch into Mozarts Rondo A La Turk.
It would be great also to launch into anything by Tommy Emmanuel.

cool thread! =]

Sax - Pink Floyd - Money
Acoustic Guitar - Dan Greenaway - Angels & Demons
Elec Guitar - not really sure, lots to choose from :P
Bass - Muse - Hysteria (although i dislike the band ^^)
Fiddle - The Holloways - Two Left Feet

i also wanna learn how to play the spoons!!! =] anybody do lessons?

ill probly think of some more songs during my bordom at work!
