...would people on these forums find out?

I don't actually know anyone from these forums in real life, and it suddenly occured to me that if I got run over or if I burnt down, no one on here would actually know about it (or care probably)

So, if you died, would the forum have some way of finding out?

Nice upbeat thread for a Tuesday afternoon.
 
I have real life friends on here, and my parents know about the goings on (and my love for this place). I reckon they'd post up letting people know.
 
In short, no.

My parents don't know I post here and neither do my friends.

It's wierd that you've posted this actually because I've thought about it many times in the past.

IE, when Silverpaw passed away :(
 
I think so.

A good mate on mine knows I post here frequently and does have an account (post count of like 3) so I imagine he'd say something.
 
I always find threads like these intrigueing, death's a funny subject.

Why lol, have we had three in the last 24 hours? Is there something about this crazy world I should know about? :/
 
I have 2 real life friends on here. Make that 3. 2 of wich are not that active but my main friend is and he would (I hope) let people know about my death..
 
I think my girlfriend would probably some how post it, she knows i'm always on a place that's called 'overclockers' and it's 'blue'.

On the other hand, she might not be clever enough to log in as me...
 
No one would know on here.

unless of course i leave a note and commit myself to getting a Darwin award :D
 
Most probably, mainly because I live within ½ mile of OcUK and no doubt news of my sad and untimely demise would be in the local papers. That, or someone from 'The Godless' would make a post about it!
 
Maybe you could install a heart monitor with an onboard wireless net connection, then from your PC have a program that montiors it. When it detects that your heart rate has fallen to 0 it automatically creates a thread on the forums announcing your death :D

One of my mates (none of whom post here but know I do) may well take it upon themselves to do so. Wouldn't be the sort of thing i'd be willing to lay money on though :p
