If you had the ability to speak any language or play any instrument?

Akin to my other thread, if you were a superhero and could choose between these two talents, either the ability to understand and fluently speak any language on Earth or the ability to play any instrument fluently, which would you choose?

I'd choose language, as I love speaking languages and would be able to enjoy such a wider existance, although the monetary implications/talent of musical instruments would be good, but I'd find languages more rewarding. :)
 
I can sort of do both fairly well. Since I can already read music playing a new instrument to a reasonable level would require me to learn the method of churning out new notes or chords.

I think languages therefore would be awesome. There'd be money in that I'm sure if you were good enough!
 
Speak any language, if that includes understanding colloquialisms and cultural references in such a way as to have an easy conversation with a person of that country.
 
Definitely languages. For a start it'd be ace, and secondly think of the ££££ working as a translator for banks etc. Plus the women would love it. :p
 
Languages! Already working on learning as many as possible so some divine/radioactive/last son of krypton etc. based inspiration would be just the ticket.
 
Difficult. It would either be to play the piano to an excellent standard or to speak Chinese.

Nah, actually I think it would be piano. There is so much stuff I'd love to be able to play, for instance this Chopin Etude, it's bloody hard post grade 8 stuff. You have to play two notes at a time on the right hand.

 
I can already play several instruments well, although slightly out of practise. I'd love to be multi-lingual, as I find languages fascinating.
