If you had to guess, for 3D CAD...

Would I rather 8gb of ram with a 3.4ghz quad core, or 4gb of ram with a 4 ghz quad core.

I'm looking at selling half my ram in order to achieve a higher overclock (pretty certain its nb limited).

The graphics card it's paired with is bottlenecked by the processor for cad at 2.83ghz but has not been extensively tested at higher speeds yet.

Tricky question I know, so what would your (hopefully educated) guesses be?

CPU is the most important part in CAD, if working on large assemblies the amount of ram becomes more of an issue
