Afternoon All.

In my Gaming Rig i have:

Asus Striker Extreme
QX6700 - Dtek Fusion Water Block
SLi BFG 8800GTX Ultras - Both on EK Alca water blocks.
8GB OCZ Reaper 1066
300gb Vel Raptor
3x 1.5tb WD Greens
Creative X-Fi Xtreme Audio
BeQuiet 1200W PSU
Liang D5 Pump
ThermoChill PA120.3
LianLi PC-201 - Custom Jobbie.

Would you Consider an upgrade to i7 920/930?
Would you Consider an upgrade on the GPU Front?
Keep this and ride the current GEN out?
Add to it?

Im bored... want to change but i dont know if it is worth it. Seeing as BFBC2 @ 1920x1280 maxed = >50FPS

I'd go to a Hd5870 an put the water cooling block on that.

But your PC still looks fine to me :)

Also, you could consider a shift to SSD?

It has just been acting up, well no, it was... for 3 months its been fine.
GFX seem Fine, i have put an SSD on the Menu if i decide to keep this one.

I am just bored. of it :S

Would you think about a re-case?

maybe get a new gpu but i wouldnt get a new cpu, as i keep on saying with 6 core cpu's well on their way you have to be a mentalist to upgrade to 4core i series at this time.

Corsair 800D loves watercooling.

You got one of those pc's where it would cost mad money to get a faster one.

Plus it might be easier to sell the complete base unit and start again, instead of changing a few bits, waterblocks are expensive?

I honestly think you should ignore all these buffoons and and give it to me :)

On a more serious note; a SSD wouldn't hurt. Perhaps an 800D would be a worthwhile investment as well...

HEHE,

Money isnt really an issue (within sensible margin)

I would consider the 800D but i just dont like the "Out of the box" look.

Thanks guys,

I think i will find somthing else to keep me going until then, maybe ill decide on my new Case and work on that?

I will get an SSD bought right now.

Ride out the current generation - your rig is clearly doing fine now.

Save the money for next time around :-)

i agree with this statement, because you know how systems are they just like cars as soon as you get them you start to lose value, i thinking my next project would be a 6 cores....but at the same time do we really need a 6-core??
