If you have a lumia or nokia windows read this !!

This, all of this! Unless you are very lucky, and only use the very most basic apps then you will be inconvenienced using W10, which is a huge shame as the OS is slick, fast and easy to use.

Its been that way for years. If the browser was better it wouldn't be such an issue as you could use the mobile website. Edge is better but I'm still having issues with some websites.

Skeeter offence already here, oh dear, there will be at least two others that will spam this telling us we shouldn'tuse the OS whilst making the same point over and over and over and over.

Microsoft need to radically change the mobile interface, it's just horrible.

The whole metro theme has been a colossal failure, never liked on desktop and I don't like on phones or tablets either.

When the issues are fixed we will stop raising them as issues.

Plus, the main reason we hang around these threads is because it is always highly entertaining watching how far the MS fanboys will go to defend their beloved OS.

I'm surprised you haven't put the velvet rope out yet and banned anyone who doesn't own a Windows Phone from being allowed in?

I wouldn't say thats sad to read at all. It shows that Microsoft aren't blindly pursuing a failing market area, and are instead focusing their attention on the areas that they excel or areas that have massive new possibilities.

I'd say that little peak into the Microsoft mentality is very encouraging, if you look at it from a top level. They are confirming that they aren't stupid.

I don't think it's much of a surprise, given the recent release and the new continuum features. The main issue with the phones are the pack of 3rd party support and getting the developers on board with the other devices helps this no end; I can understand the focus elsewhere. The OS is still being actively developed at a good pace and feature wise it is pretty solid (IMO).

For what it's worth, I really enjoy using it throughout the phone. Originally felt a lot more like a dedicated phone and not just an app launchpad. The apps themselves are inconsistent at best. Desktop is getting there; still have a while to go before it's unified.

Unfortunately the focus on new phones and continuum means they've abandoned the vast majority of their user base on older phone and low end phones.

By the same they get all their ducks in a row there will be almost no one left.

of the Windows smartphone owners who bought a new device each month, just 19% to 20% stuck with the OS. The rest fled for Android or iOS, with the majority -- 55% to 63%, depending on the timing -- switching to an Android device.

Even for hardcore fans the quality of the releases has been very poor. Though the current build I'm on is very solid.

Been on the Insider previews now for a year maybe a bit longer! and it's just gotten better and better on my 830.

I had to roll back to 8.1.1 at one point as they released a duff update, and I couldn't go back to a previous version of 10... 8.1.1 was horrible!! thankfully an updated update came out for 10 and I've just gone on and on...

I've gone deeper down the rabbit hole, and I'm running the Redstone preview now! some things don't work as they should, and other don't work at all... but I can see how it's going to be an awesome OS...

Long time Android Lover... Currently Loving Windows more!!! :)
