After reading some of the euromilions thread i remembered about the conversation I had some housemates last week.

If you won the lottery, say £20 million then would you quit your job?

If no then what would you do with the money and if yes what would you do with all your time?

I said no at first because otherwise you would *eventually* get bored, and learning new things also makes me feel good. I said i would like to go to space but this obviously costs more than £20 million. My other idea would be to setup and try and manage a resort abroad somewhere.

Doing these things after taking all family and friends on a big holiay somewhere.

Or maybe I would just stick it all in the bank and live on the interest

Id not want to stop living my life.

Id still go to basic next year. I'd rather not tell anyone, give some to family and charity and then just keep the rest and be happy not to worry about money

Yes I would quit my job, because my new job would be managing my investments.

Wouldn't want to stick it all in a bank in today's market. I would spend a lot of time researching where to invest it all, and also overseeing them investments.
Might buy a small business or real estate or something.

family holiday, pimped out pc, buy shares in technology companies.
some to charity.

continue working, but not in this job, I'd find something else

I'd stick most of it in the bank, i'd buy the things I want and go where I want to go but I wouldn't give up work, not a chance, I enjoy it too much :)

Would I quite my job hell yes.
However I would carry on working. Probably open up a restaurant or a american car place.

But first I would take a year off. Buy some land design a house and once I'm happy leave it in a project managers hands and go travel the world until it was complete and ready to move in.

What force? Its frowned upon sometimes if ratings have more money than commanding officers..

A girl on the Liverpool won the lottery and ended up being offered a commission, she told them to take a running jump - as would I to be honest..

I'd bank most of it, spend some on going round the world for a bit, and then live off the interest. I don't particularly want much "stuff".

I'd bank it and live off the interest, probably still working too, but at least I'd be able to have a comfortable lifestyle without having to worry about money.

I'd also keep it low key so only the closest of friends/family knew I'd won the lottery...

I think I would but only so I could start a business of my own of some kind.
I would likely do the same, just for the challenge. When you've got £20million in the bank, why work for somebody else when you can have other people work for you?

Again with the euromillions thread reply.

I would instantly buy me a ticket out of this country for good.

ags

I would give it all to OcUK in the hopes they might one day stop the torrent of "if you won x amount of money" threads.

I'd give up working, put it all in the bank and use the interest to travel, do volunteer work with animals, sail round on a tall ship for a bit, get a smallish house close to my local stables, get a horse, and just spend life actually doing things I enjoy when I want to enjoy them without having work in the way all the time.

Hell yeah I'd quite my job!

Then I'd have the money and time to study at university, something I've always wanted to do but can't afford and don't have time for. I imagine I'd get myself a little part time job somewhere nice and chilled while I study.

Then the long term aim would be to move to the coast and open up a little art gallery :)

Edit: Oh, and I'd send a letter to my idiot brother saying 'Hi, I'm a millionaire now and decided to share my riches out to everyone in the family. Here's a fiver for you, have a happy life!'

I'd also invest it, quit my job and open up a photography studio with all the latest gear :)

Basically just a place where I can casually work and hang out :)

£25,000 worth of camera gear and lighting, £100,000 to buy a building and then I can still earn a few bob and keep myself busy.
