The man has a valid point.

I can't stand lying in interviews.

"I want the job because I want a bit of extra cash" - is what I'd love to say, but I'm forced by the protocol of the fat obnoxious middle manager to spout a load of crap I don't mean.

yes at the end of the day , the cash your going to earn is going on food or essentials so why wouldent you bring that up at interview?

I have said it in interviews before. More as a bit of a joke than anything. But I figured 'I need the cash' was a valid reason, as I did. I also gave the reasons they want to here. But at like under 18 and working in shops/supermarkets you can get away with the needing money answer as it's honest and shows you want to work. :D

Now I'm moving into offices etc. I shall not be using that as an answer. Also only ever used "I need the money" as a reason, never gone into detail, as it's something they really don't care about.

I'm really enjoying your logic.

I may bring this up at an interview and watch the look of horror shape the interviewers faces as real life invades their little faux middle-class work-bubbles.

In fact I'm gonna look through the paper for a job I could get an interview for, but don't want.

Same goes for just about every other question asked at an interview I guess? Interviews are rubbish

I had the best interview the other month. time from leaving my car to getting back in 10min.

You already work on the railway so you not what it's all about.
Are you happy doing x, y, z = yep, yep and yes.
This is the pay and a few other details.
And that was it literally 3mins max.

Why can't all interviews be like that.

theres nothing bizare about this thread , the money you work for buys you toilet paper or other stuff , so why cant you say this in a interview??

Hello mosehn, it is a rather strange question to ask people in my opinion. You will need some form of income to pay for the essentials like food, toilet paper etc, of course you do, though you would not say this in a interview since the people that will be interviewing you are essentially after hiring the right person for the job and what they can offer to the company.

However, by creating this thread, it honestly show's a lack of thinking on your behalf and to make it even worse, you have already created a thread about this which can be found here. :)

Because that's what jobs are for. To state it in the interview would be like telling a girl's father that your intentions are, ultimately, to boff his daughter. He knows it, you know it, but bringing it up would be a detrimental to your pursuits.
