Hello darlings.

When typing code (?) or 'doing a mainframes' (?) or 'it is IT mom' (lol) or 'resetting passwords' (that one I get), do you ever wonder how much better different your life would be if you were instead a star in your own sitcom?

A British sitcom or a Britcom is a situational comedy programme produced for British television.[1]

Most British sitcoms are recorded on studio sets, while some have an element of location filming. A handful are made almost exclusively on location (for example, Last of the Summer Wine) and shown to a studio audience prior to final post-production. A subset of British comedy consciously avoids traditional situation comedy themes, storylines, and home settings to focus on more unusual topics or narrative methods. Blackadder (1983–1989) and Yes Minister (1980–1988, 2013) moved what is often a domestic or workplace genre into the corridors of power.[2] A later development was the mockumentary genre exemplified by series such as The Office (2001–2003).

If you were a sitcom or in or authored one what would it be?

Press ENTER when you are ready to commit to your new situational comedy (region: tbc)

GD would be its own sitcom, with Mags starring as none other than the glorious Mags.

It would also star Kwerk (lokkwerk) and previously banned accounts such as Beef Burger.

Hurfdurf would star as our resident Mumsnetter as we all like a bit of drama in our sitcom.

I don't have an enter key, is it the same as RETURN?

Answers on a postcard.

It is similar but 10 points for referencing regional differences (as noted, I should point out, in the OP)

OK, we have some great input for a start up sitcom and Diddums posted as well, so double high five team! We probably need a cast and a theme and *checks notes*, uh, purpose why anyone should listen to you or find you interesting. Also, jokes.

Let's make sitcom 2023 (region tbc) happen, folks!

Hancocks half hour and I will be Sid James.

Note this was initially radio so was a talkie not seeie. Later also available on the telly for those who invested in new technology for the coronation of Her Maj. Also available on vinyl if you were not equipped with either a wireless set or black and white telly.

The Likely Lads would be my choice because thats how my life was in my late teens early 20s.

These days its probably more Fraiser.
