Well there lies the problem, i'm in an alliance already, have been for a long time and we control our surrounding islands quite nicely. I know there are 1 or 2 in the same position.

How does the resource upgrade work? does everyone on the island have to donated the wood? Just one person?

As everyone on the island donates all wood is pooled together, once island donations for that resources reach the total required for an upgrade, then the upgrade commences, stock is reset to zero and you start again, obviously as the level of the mine/mill/pit for that resource increases the amount required to trigger the next upgrade also increases.

Those who don't donate should be pillage into submission.... or until they start to donate (I hate leeches :) )

me and one other have put the wood in, but it hasn't upgraded.

NVM I think the stuff the other person added was the stuff for the first upgrade.

On the left side of the screen, above the donate box should be 2 numbers. The amount currently donated, and then above that, the amount required for next upgrade.

The big section in the middle which lists all island members shows how much people have donated in total since they arrived on the island.

wierd game :(

got to a stage where i cant upgrade anything cos i have no marble

and theres none for sale locally and cant look further cos that needs more marble :$

when you wake up tomorow u'll have 300 :)

thanks man guess i better spend it on upgrading my trading post :)

seems like a bit of a flaw in game tho if nobody on the islands is trading how does anyone progress unless they all have multiple islands allready ?

i can send u some glass if u need it ?

i've got all 4 resources sorted so keep it for your academy upgrades ;)
i dont think its a flaw as it makes game "harder" and i'm pretty sure the world is set up the way you can have access to all resources as long as ppl on nearby islands put them on sale, in 2 hrs there might be 2k marble for 10 gold you never know ;)

also if you buy ambrosia you can get premium trader and exchange resources but for that you need to spend real £s

I've moved on to the biggest alliance in Delta, CEG. They're a good crowd with a friendly IRC channel. I recommend them to anyone over 10K score.

I'm at 34.7K atm, position 313. Really getting into the game. Onto my 5th colony (saving up for palace lvl 4 is tough!

Send me a message in game if you need any resources, my coords are [63:25] CEG Brownie.

Does anyone want any positions within the alliance? Currently I'm Grand Mast....er I mean I'm in charge of everything.

Home Secretary duties:
* Responsible for the admission of new members and the dismissal of old members from the alliance.
* Can see the resources of all alliance members.
* Can determine and assign the ranks within the alliance.
* Can edit the internal alliance site. This is only viewable to alliance members.

General duties:
* Can see all the troops and war ships of members.
* Can see all attacks from or on members of the alliance.
* Can call back attacks from alliance members.

Diplomat duties:
* Can edit external alliance site. This is the site that non-members see when they want to look at the alliance.
* Can manage alliance agreement.
* Can see the alliance partners of all alliance members.
* Receives messages sent to the alliance.

By the way, does anyone know how points are calculated for each player?

Eventually they do yes. The first palace costs approx 550 wood. But there on after marble is required and as you advance so is crystal and wine.

I've been considering moving alliances for a while. My alliance is quite small but we control our islands quite nicely. However i'm 20k ahead of the next player so it makes working together a bit one sided.

I might look at contacting CEG. I broke into the top 100 for the first time the other day, keeping hovering around high 90's, low hundreds. My aim is to cement my top 100 position. Got around 45k points at the moment, conentrating on building my army and fleet now, i'm finding pillaging to be quite fun :)

I might msg you in game Darg to speak about CEG if thats ok, your IGN is Darg I presume?

Thank heavens.

As I can't buy any materials from around me. And I take it a palace is built on another island giving you access to materials?
