Ikea Markus Return Without Receipt

Does anyone know if Ikea will accept a return of an Ikea Markus with no receipt? Had mine for something like 4 years now and the lumbar support broke a while ago and I've thrown it away.

Sat on hold on the phone for 20 mins and gave up and posted here

Yup, return for replacement.

Good idea thanks, will take bank statement with, I should be able to print one out.

That's kind of what I'm worried about. It is an ikea own product after all so would hopefully be ok, but if they won't do anything without the receipt then it's going to be a wasted trip (ikea isn't close).
