Ikea Mattress Problem

In December 2008 I purchased an Ikea bed + Matress set, Sultan Hedfors (£170ish?) 25 year guarantee I read, great I think.

But now the bed is very sunken in the middle, one of things that you only notice when being away from your bed and going back to it. I'll get some photos up in a minute. It's not awful when photgraphed, but with your weight on it it's like sleeping on a hill...

Just off the phone with Ikea Customer Services, 45 minutes on hold yay

They can't (actually don't want to) help me as I no longer have the receipt for purchase, looking for it now as I'm sure I kept it.
Even though I know the store & month of purchase, and the credit card it was bought with AND the Ikea Family Member card number used for the transaction...

Any experience on how to effectively take this further?
I read on MoneyssavingExpert someone emailing Ikea CEO directly with a complaint, might as well look into that.

Surely if it's got a 25 year warranty and you can show the transaction on your card then they have to help? It's not like they've been selling that product for 30 years.

Proving the item was purchased from you

If a customer returns an item and complains, you are entitled to check that the item was bought from you and on the date claimed. It is the customer's responsibility to prove that the item was purchased from you.

A sales receipt is a good way of checking; if the customer has lost their receipt but is able to offer other evidence, for example, a bank or credit card statement, packaging etc, then you must accept this if it demonstrates the goods were purchased from you.

Although sales receipts are not legally required, you should ensure you provide them for customers as a safeguard for both sides, should there be a complaint.

Edit: Having said that they do state having the original sales receipt as a condition of making a claim under their warranty.
