If the OP was just mining, you could still do that without the display port working, as he could just use onboard display or get a super cheap 2nd card for display usage.

Mining on a GeForce?! Vega 64 is much cheaper and done for that

Actually it only takes Vega 56 or even better if you are doing VRAM mining.
