Illegal clamping

I remember a bit ago we had an issue near a friend's house - we went all vigilante with a rattle can of black paint.

We came back to find the car that'd been clamped while we were there gone anyway, with a few bits of chain left - someone had bolt cutters or a grinder!

If I ever got clamped I'd just pop my hub off to remove the sod, and keep it as a keepsake :)
 
You shouldn't keep it - you should return it, undamaged. I feel this does more to annoy them, as this is completely legal.

In fact, there was a story on the Pepipoo detailing someone who was clamped, he removed it himself legally, without damaging it, and then had it handed in at a police station 300 miles or something up country.

I would like to know how any normal person would manage to remove a properly attached wheel-clamp without damaging it - Derren Brown excepted, of course :D
 
get them on video then send it to the bbc or someother news agency. should be good for their publicity. Who owns the wall that the sign is fastened too ?
