Hello everyone,
It's been a while since I was around here, and the small knowledge I had learned when I was around has all been outdated so need a hand, or atleast a few suggestions for upgrade.
Or maybe a whole new rig, part from the case.
The other day my Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller started messing about with me, making my Internet connection seem like a 56k one. To make it work properlly I have to uninstall it and then restart my PC when I first start it up, then it working as it suppose to. Have updated it to the latest version but still not working ok. Only been for a couple days but still tiresome to do each time I start up the PC.
So, since I been thinking about doing a upgrade I though I go ahead and do that since seems it's needed.
Just needed an excuse I guess... lol
I have a Silverstone TJ-09 which I am happy with. Then inside has;
ASUS P8P67 Deluxe
Sapphire Vapor-X Radeon HD 5770
ASUS Xonar D2 (keeping this)
Intel i5-2500 3,30 GHz
Plextor DVDR PX-800A and PX-891SA (keeping these)
Corsair HX750 PSU
Corsair DDR XMS3 Vengeance 1600 MHz CL9 2x4gb memory
And have for now 2 Dell U2412M 24'' screen and 1 NEC MultiSync 24WMGX3 (probally be switching the NEC for a 3rd Dell later though)
And a bunch of HD's but going to upgrade to SSD so they will just end up as Storage HD's.
Now, I am not playing Crysis or anything similar but more along the lines of Civilization V so it's not going to be top of the line gaming PC but would like it to last me a couple years, bought the present motherboard about 3 ½ years ago. And I am using Win7 64bit OS, and like to run it in raid 1 so need 2 SSD's, maybe around 250gb or so. *shruggs* Don't really know much about SSD's though but been suggested worth upgrading to them nowdays.
If I can keep anything of the above, would be sweet, but if you have suggestions for all new hardware, that is all good too.
On a side note, I noticed that sometimes there is a "flicker" across my screens, especially if I start playing something from YouTube or similar, no clue why but guessing either graphic card or PSU ?? The PSU I have is less then a year old but if I need a more powerful one I change it.
Ahh right, budget might be good to maybe. Uhmm around £1,300 max I think is doable.
Looking forward to your expert insights and to spend some coins on new PC stuff. =)
PS. Sorry for such a long post though.
