mornin' as the title suggests im all pata any way i can go all sata?? i want to know if there is anyway of completely switching over? i currently have 2 hhd's on is partioned

if your mobo supports it - its not too hard - just buy the hard disks - ghost an image then go forth!
if not mobo support then - either buy a new mobo that does or get some sata controller cards and then do as above!

Sata pci cards aren't too expensive and a doddle to setup.. good luck.

ive got a sata board (check sig) but what exactly would the proccess be. surely i need the new sata drives to use the drive characters already in use (by this i mean C: D: etc

ok i've pulled my finger out and done some reading..so should i just use norton ghost? or is there better software out there?

jsut clone your c: D: drives to the sata drives - remove youre old pata's and you should find no problems - wndows will still pick it up as the C: and D: respectively
