Yep, so I just completed Crysis and Crysis Warhead on Delta for the first time. It's taken me ages to build my machine so I could run them, most of that time though was saving for parts.

Have to say what awesome games !, I know I'm a bit late with the Crysis thing but I was really impressed. Graphics, story line/cinematic sequences and the gameplay were all fantastic.

Cant wait for crysis 2 !
 
you've just reminded me it's been awhile since i last played thru them both, think i'll give em a good shake out & get in the mood for Crysis 2.

Yeah, I just got myself pretty depressed reading the thread above though !
 
Lol really didn't think the thread was about Crysis, anyway I'm playing though Crysis Warhead now, finally can have it pretty much maxed out :D

Same as, gorgeous looking game, although I wasn't overly keen on the snow levels it did add some variation. Wait until you get to the final cut scene ;)
 
Great games, excellent on Delta difficulty too.

Really underrated and received far too much undeserved criticism due to the graphics being the centre of attention.

I can't wait to get further in again, makes me want to get Crysis, also what AA are you using?

I originally bought it for my old system that could barely run it (P4 3.06, 2 GIGS RAM AND A 7600gt !). It looked awful and the frame rates were shocking. I ended up giving it to a mate. Glad I got them both again though and gave them a second chance on my new rig, totally different experience.

I've got everything on enthusiast settings, with 4x AA. Not sure if I could go to 8 or not with my spec but it was running silky smooth as it was.
 
I was running 2x AA but I think I can go higher and still keep it above 30FPS, well I had it on the highest AA and it only just dropped below 30FPS, but its pretty without AA lol
 
I found warhead to be epic vs dull crysis. I think it was that final level, withnthe awesome music that topped it off. Oh and that was a great final line too :p
 
I love the the last level on Warhead, "All the fury". Played through it on delta lots of times going about it different ways and with different weapons.
One fun way is once you secure the container then don't kill any more Koreans, just go stealth and make your way to the tower, send the message then watch the carnage as the aliens steam into the soldiers. They don't last long but if you back up the soldiers holding the entrance by sniping aliens they can hold out til you make a break for the crashed aircraft.
Another one is not to kill any soldiers or aliens after sending the message then bolt for the aircrash, gets quite lively once you get there :D
 
haha I was thinking some brit was getting upset over a yank calling him australian or something online lol
