My Noctua fans arrived today to compete my set of pieces for my "cooling upgrade" :D

Now to find the time to get it all in & working!!

Sorry about poor flash! ;)

cool beans, don't hurt yourself! ;)

I'll try!! :D

Now if the HS doesn't fit blowing back on my mobo (I'm having doubts) i'll cry!

Looking like it'll be a weds/thurs installation as thats me next day off with free time!

Also i feel kinda guilty, checked my front fan atm and found no airflow...then remembered the front air filter in my eclipse...then remembered April 2005 when i built the pc and forgetting to clean it...oh god!

Was a bit disappointed with mine - although very very quiet they don't really move much air tbh.

Does look like a quality cooler, i just wish it had more clearance near the base plate so it would work on mobos with heatpipes around the cpu.

Very interested to hear how there work out for you, I plan to replace all the fans in my rig with these. They came first in silentpcreview's shootout of 120mm fans for noise/airflow ratio.

Hmm...so far if anything after fitting the case fans, temps seems slightly higher!!

CPU temp is still silly as i've elft the AC7 pro on instead of doing rhe noctua (really crapping it over doing that for some reason :() front fan on 12V seems to be pushing nothing, can't feel a single breeze behind the even the HDD's (in Akasa eclipse) So i'm kinda miffed right now!

Anyone in leicester wanna earn themselves a couple quid/case of beer for sorting my friggin' temps :( lol

Don't use these on heatsinks or case fans with dust guards because the increase in pressure behind the fan makes them perform badly due to their strange fin design.

The fans i had were silentx ones it turns out (never did bother to look while they were still in the case) no noide difference and can feel the same breeze at the back with hand 1-2 niches from case, but no breeze 4-5 inches like i could before.

Bit peeved tbh that i wasted a day off & £30 for no difference :( even with the 2 years of gunk cleaned form the front air filter.

The scythe kama bay actually pushes about as much cool air as ant ant exhaling....yay :(

The dust guard (Strange fuzzy felt like material) is actually out of the front now, same as in the kama bay, figured it'd be more trouble than its worth tbh keeping them in.

Only saving grace would be if they'll suddenly start to kick ass with case sides on :(

Offers to ppl in leicester STILL stand...badly lol

well i dont see why you would replace the standard tuniq fan with a lower rpm fan, unless you really bothered about the noise. i dont even find the tuniq fan loud, im thinking of upgrading it to the YS-TECH FD1238 120mm Fan. almost 3000rpm will cool the tuniq even more :)

If you want a silent fan I would recommend the Scythe S-Flex 1200rpm model, I have 3 running in my TJ09 intake/exhaust/cpu and even when spinning at 900rpm it shifts a lot of air. I can actually feel a cool breeze on my feet from the intake sucking air in as my PC sits on the floor next to where I sit.
