Right, I'm fed with my P180 mainly due to bad air flow and also it's certainly not as quiet as a lot of the reviewers out there like to make out, what I want is a case that has VERY good airflow and can fit a 8800gtx in it, apart from that I'm really not too botherd how it looks, although good build qaulity would be nice, any suggestions
 
Akasa Eclipse. With 2 x 120mm Akasa Amber, Yate Loon, Panaflow or similar quiet fans.
 
im glad someone finaly said it !!
i dont think these cases are quiet at all.

for silence im gonna yet again reccomend the under rated gigabyte 3D aurora.
 
Im also considering getting rid of my P180. Just finding it a bit cramped in there when Im moving stuff in and out and adding new stuff.

I have been thinking about the Lian Li V1000 the V2000 seems abit too expensive for me.

The Akasa Eclipse 62 may be a good choice aswell.



Do OcUK supply the Plus2 version of the V1000 now? And does it have a window like it has in the picture on the website.

Thats sums up my position on the case as well - i am getting frstrated with it now and the door is more of a hindrance than anything. little room to play with and i think the V1000 will be an ideal replacement as i dont rate the looks of the eclipse much!
 
Akasa Eclipse definitely gets my vote.

V1000 / V2000 look stunning also

or if your feeling kinky - antec 900 - amazing airflow. no personal experience but cant imagine its especially loud :)

got any ideas already? I'm sure you'll find someone who has any cases your thinking about and I'm sure they will give you a frank review on it :)

The P180 is one of the easiest case to silence.

Your probably not setting it up right. Got a pic of your setup?

Airflow? It has a 200mm exhaust, an 120mm exhaust and 2x 120mm exhausts with a optional 120mm on the panel.

It has good airflow.

Not everything Yewen says is true you know (nothing against the chap, I think his work here is great).
 
cheers guys, looks like an Akasa Eclipse it is then :D , must be a good case with the amount of people that recommend it, glad to be getting rid of the P180, I think a lot of people are scared to admit it's really not that great a case, I think it just got hyped up a little to much pre-release and was pitched as the holy grail for silent efficient cooling, sadly its not.
 
either the eclipse or mirage as they both own. I've got both and I like the front of the mirage better.

Looking at your specs it aint exactly made to be quiet.

Again, post a pic and maybe I can help you out.

if it had good 'airflow' it wouldnt need 4/5 fans, the point people are making is that anything with that amount of fans can have good 'airflow'. Each to their own.
 
Definatley the Eclipse. My dad has the P180 and i think its real bad for cooling - but he doesnt overclock so hes not too bothered by it but I would be.

Eclipse all the way!! ;) :cool: or mirage. heh
