I'M GOING TO BE A DAD!!!!

Well, the wife did a 2nd test this morning and it came back positive again so that confirms it now don't you think? Yikes!!!!!!!! Cool though.

Can't believe i am going to be a dad!

Fingers crossed that all goes well for you and your wife.
When my wife is at 20 weeks I'm going to relax, until then though it can be early days.

That 20 weeks seems a long time doesn't it! We waited this period to tell the prospective grandparents! My mum cried, dad laughed. My wifes mum cried and her dad laughed! I think the dads wanted to cry, but it came out as a laugh!

My wife fell pregnant 3 months after my daughter was born but we lost that child at 13 weeks which will be 3 years ago next Friday. We weren't really up for trying again for a while after that.
She is now 13 weeks pregnant again although thus far the baby is fine and a right wriggler during the scans.
I can't wait for 20 weeks. I really can't. Infact I'll be really happy when February is gone.
 
All the very best ACPCUP :D I don't have any kids of my own (and I don't want any either :D ) so I can only imagain what you're feeling right now. Get some rest and some good quality headphones while you can :D

Statistically the chance of the baby not surviving are much better after 20 weeks.
From conception something as high as 20% of conceptions result in miscarriage although many of these are so early that they aren't noticed.
From 12 weeks the odds are pretty good that all will go well and from 20 weeks the odds are superb.
