Yeah, what kind of difference does switching to DX9 make? Do the graphics get considerable worse or is it a minor thing?

DX10 doesn't add much extra to the graphics of most games at the minute, it does more fancy stuff with shadows and shaders I think. It's not really worth it when it usually halfs your frame rate...
