Thought we would issue a valeting promotion through groupon to get a few customers in that we hope would turn into repeat customers.

We was optimistically hoping for about 30-40 purchases. We have had a major surprise :eek:

We have sold 580 compared to what we predicted.

Seen a few get crazy numbers. Also seen one or two places treat you as second rate customers. That angers everyone up and not only will you not get repeat customers, you will be slatted off to all their mates. So just becuase it's cheap don't do half a job.

Have fun, couldn't you set a limit?

Just remove link and write how many you have sold.

I'm not advertising. In fact, I dont want anyone here to buy anything as I have enough already. I am actually requesting that no one buy it, but if no-one can accept the fact that I am merely entering into a general conversation then so be it, ban me.

I love this forum, but sometimes a few can be too self righteous for me.
 
Not saying you should get banned, just that its technically advertising so is against the rules.

We could have, but we didn't feel we needed to.

I had not even heard of Groupon before they contacted us. So had no idea it was this popular.

All customers will be treated equally, they just might have to accept that their valet will take 2 weeks instead of 2 days.

And I have removed the link, so the hounding can stop.
 
have you not seen what has happened to other users who put look at me topics come visit this link and buy stuff from me on here? gets the old permabanned status......but you seem to be ok with that?
 
What kind of cut do Groupon take Rob? I'm weighing up the options when im in a position to take on a lot more work!

It varies per deal, but on our's we are charging £19. We get a tenner and they get £9, so it's about 47%. Cant work out the exact percentage.

Can I ask what you do?

I think we will do it again, providing we're not dead through exhaustion. However, the next time would have to be a more expensive service like paint correction.

That's huge. If you don't mind me asking, what's your profit margin on this deal? Are you making anything or using it like a loss leader?
