It's a really sad story. I've been trying to start watching this from Season 1, Episode 1, for a long time. Everybody says it's awesome.

I literally just upgraded to Sky Entertainment Extra+ with a new 12 month contract and a brand spanking new HD box, to watch this show.

And now Sky have removed it from their On Demand service, a month after a MASSIVE advertising campaign to let us know it was part of their (award winning, naturally) new On Demand package.

What's on Sky On Demand now? A complete load of ****. Massive bait and switch :(

The only place I can watch this show legally is asking £25 per series.

**** you Sky. And **** you Netflix, Blinkbox and all the rest.

I'm *not* paying £100 to watch this damn show! Oh well, I guess I'll never see it. And *yes*, I *am* mad, bro. Sky have played me like a sucker.

Cancel your Sky subscription, copy and pasting from the above as justification. And then just buy it on DVD for £15 a series...

Or just watch it illegally and give 50 quid to charity.

You know what really make me feel aggrieved by this, is that they were still running the advert on TV right up to the date of the show being removed from On Demand.

New users ordering EE+ would have to wait (like I did) about 15 days for their new equipment to arrive.

That means that Sky knowingly advertised a service that was technically impossible for new users to be a part of. They should have stopped showing the adverts 15 days before the content expiry.

its 10 quid a series on ebay watch sell after recoup money or 3/4 costs you not much at all. or just stream episodes.

Yes, I agree. So you should cancel the package, rather than keeping it and letting them profit.

If you get Sky Atlantic with your package I expect they'll start showing re-runs in the new year before the new series starts. But that is pretty rubbish from Sky and if I were you I'd be looking to ditch them rather than hanging around on the off chance that they show repeats.

Waa waa waa. Buy the DVDs.

Why? They're standard-def (largely becoming a misnomer these days, let's just call it low-def instead).

Also after I've watched it once I'm not going to watch it again, ever.

I've just upgraded to an HDTV, a more expensive Sky subscription and a new Sky box - entirely on the draw of these new On Demand box sets. So no, I'm not going to buy the DVDs. That's throwing good money after bad.

What I'm going to do is see how Sky handle my complaint that I've made. If they aren't helpful I'll look into alternative TV providers.

I'm not sure how good YouView are these days, but they seem to be only alternative in areas without cable. Trouble is they have 1/5 the channels Sky have.

Signing up to a 12-month TV contract on the basis of a single TV show probably wasn't a good idea in the first place, but regardless, was there not the normal disclaimer text at the bottom of said adverts stating the expiry date?

It's £40 for the season 1-2 Blu-rays.

Buy blu-rays, sell them on afterwards. Even at full price it's damn worth it for the hours of fantastic viewing. If you re-coup as little as 50% of the tag from selling them on you've had more than enough of a great deal.

As someone already said, they'll be putting the first 3 seasons on the service before the next one airs, so at worst you wait til then.

It's already being re-run because I have been recording them and watching them. Already reached the third season too. I have seen it all before but rewatching as I enjoyed it so much the first time plus just started on the books.

Chances are that it shall be re-run again but you will have to wait for the current one to end.

Seems dumb to upgrade everything for one show. Personally I would look into other means of acquiring them that's how I watched them first time round anyway.
