I'm not brave enough but is anyone willing to?

Usual cut is grade 1 fade sides and back with the top being short and either messy or parted. April 12th cannot come round quick enough as it's been a nightmare with my hair since it grows back longer than the last cut every 3 weeks.

My mate is my barber though so often get free hair product and back in November when he opened a new shop (perfect timing lol) gave me a tin of Uppercut Featherweight which only needs a small amount on one fingertip to be usable on all of my hair. Expensive per tin but it should last many months making it more cost effective than the £4 stuff from the high street.

Honestly buy some clippers (Philips) is my go to and have a look at some YouTube videos.

It's not as hard as you think.

I've been cutting my own hair for literally 10 years and other than a few mess ups it's been fine..

Can't do a fade on yourself though!

Every Sunday I go over the entire head with a Braun all in one trimmer. So effectively go from seven day hair and beard growth to a zero all over.

Every couple of weeks I just get clippers out and do a number one -(haircut that is) when you get to 77 you don't care how short it is. :D

Second time I did mine, I forgot to put a guard on. I started from my forehead and went back. By the time I thought "that sounds different" and checked, I had an almost bald stripe as wide as the clippers and about a quarter of the way over my head. No tidying that up, so I had to shave it all off.

I just clip to the same length everywhere. I forget which number I use - it's the yellow one in the set I use. Colour coding is particularly convenient to me as I've no chance of seeing anything other than colour after I've taken my glasses off. I finish off by shaving the back and sides of my neck. With some practice, a neat enough finish can be done that way by feel and experience.

So lockdown hasn't changed how my hair looks at all. Very convenient, very cheap. I used to have waist-length hair. It was pretty, but now I wonder why and how I put up with all the expense and hassle of it.

I havent had my hair cut since 4th Dec and i was trying to hold out until April 12th but my heads constantly boiling hot and its effecting my sleep so on Wed i ordered a cheap pair of clippers off amazon and on Thurs i buzzed the top with a no7 and sides with no 6. I usually have no 4 back and sides so left a bit for my barber to tidy up when i visit him after the 12th April. For a first time chopping my own mop, im actually happy with it lol.

Side note: realised when looking at these that i have a fair few greys lol
